When I was in high school I drew portraits.

In 2018 I drew a portrait of Mac Demarco. He was my favorite music artist.
The drawing won second prize in a juried exhibit at my hometown art gallery.

Then I drew William Morris for my Mom's birthday. He is my mom's favorite artist.

I tried to draw a stranger using pastel pencils.

In 2019 I stopped drawing portraits, and started drawing lines.

I drew one long squiggly line for hours and hours.

I drew lines of words. Random words I heard while sitting in a loud cafeteria.
These works did not express my emotions, so I decided to paint.
I tried to paint a dark, cold, empty feeling I had.
